On-line Monitoring Systems

AMS Ambulance

One of the our company’s trends in information system design is development and implementation of automation systems used by on-line monitoring services in various cities and towns. The development in this field started in 1994 with creation of the system for automation of an ambulance call-responding service which is being successfully used to this day on a round-the-clock basis. The system described below is a standard solution corresponding to the requirements of the RF Ministry of Healthcare and was developed considering previous experience.

AMS Ambulance is an IT-based integrated solution for automation of ambulance and accident and emergency response services of any scale. A complete set of operations is supported: from reception and dispatch of calls to statistical data procession, as well as roster planning/generation, accounting of medical supplies, automation of garage office. The workstations are configured depending on structure of a particular office and job allocation. The system enables different kinds of monitoring (e.g. chronic patients, oncological patients, narcotic drugs expenditure etc.). Call Record Form with add-in and update option along with report generator allow on-line getting of statistical information regarding office functioning. AMS Ambulance provides possibility of integration with other medical systems and IT solutions. For more inter-task efficiency, both in day-to-day and in emergency cases, integration with information systems of emergency services (fire brigades, gas emergency etc.) is available.

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE:

  • reception and logging of incoming calls (first aid, routine and emergency transportation);
  • automatical prioritising of responses;
  • real-time dispatching of all received calls;
  • monitoring of ambulance response teams location and timing;
  • filing of filled Call Record Forms;
  • automatic closing of a shift;
  • daily statistics summary/ daily reporting;
  • roster planning and reporting on roster variances;
  • accounting of medical supplies (medicines and bandages);
  • special logging (logs of: special brigades response, repeated calls, on-call responses taking over 2 hrs, urgency responses, narcotic drugs spending, chronic patients’ calls etc.);
  • accounting of motor fuels supplies;
  • statistics summary and its availability for any required period of time including generation of new reporting forms.

BENEFITS OF THE SYSTEM

  • no need to re-enter information;
  • simple and easy operation owing to help directories and templates availability;
  • complete interchangeability of keyboard and mouse to ensure operational efficiency;
  • configurability to meet customer requirements;
  • extension or modification of static data used in the system (crew members, staff personal data, vehicle fleet, street names etc.);
  • unauthorized access protection, data entry authorization;
  • adequate response to all possible wrong actions taken by users;
  • help facilities and prompt messages (quick context search).
