Last Friday the 5th international specialized exhibition «Aerospace Technologies. Modern Material and Equipment. Kazan 2010» finished its work. What’s new in the aircraft industry and what attracted the attention of attendees, from the lips of ICL-KME CS’ participants of the event.
During the last week huge grey gates of Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Center were opened for visitors to enjoy the latest aircraft and aerospace specimen products at AKTO 2010. The exhibition included outdoor site with Mi-8 and Ansat helicopters produced by Kazan Helicopter Manufacturer and a specialized agricultural aircraft from MVEN called Farmer.
With the snip of a symbolic sky-blue ribbon the exhibition was opened by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov who said, «Aircraft making, helicopter making, instrument making have been our republic’s top priorities. We’ll continue to elaborate on them.» The number of participants showed that development of aircraft and aerospace industries is not only a concern of the government: over 100 enterprises and associations including companies within the Rostekhnologii state corporation, United Aircraft Corporation, Oboronprom etc. declared their participation in the exhibition.
The display was placed inside two pavilions and on the outdoor site mentioned above. ICL-KME CS also presented its stand. Guests and other participants showed genuine interest in solutions offered by the company, watched its video presentations and testimonials of customers.
«It aroused great interest of managers responsible for CAD and ACS,» mentioned Artem Suryaninov, CAD Team Lead, Manufacturing Systems and Corporate Solutions, ICL-KME CS, who kept visitors informed about ICL’s activities throughout the exhibition. According to him, the most urgent need of enterprises is for systems thinking when using information technologies: questions about integration of heterogeneous systems, from design solutions to enterprise management solutions, were asked more frequently.
Within the framework of the aerospace exhibition, the 5th international conference «Modern Technologies and Material as a Key Link in Reviving National Aircraft Making» was held. The agenda covered a wide range of topics: from developing aerodynamic technology to innovative technologies used for staff training. A number of lectures were devoted to solutions on the basis of high-end technologies intended for improvement of business management in airspace branch. Theodor Dykhne, Deputy Director, Manufacturing Systems and Corporate Solutions, informed the audience about business management systems used in Russia, explained the essential need to motivate employees and gave an instance of projects implemented such as JSC Electric Machine Building Works «LEPSE», Kursk OJSC «Pribor», OJSC «PA ELAZ» and others.
