It is a tradition in Russia to hold a number of exhibition events for education sector summarizing the school year and making preparations for the next one. ICL-КME CS annually takes part in these events showcasing its solutions for education. Two Russia’s major education exhibitions were run in April.
ICL-КME CS took part in the 4th international congress and exhibition «Global Education 2010» held in Moscow in the Expocentre, Krasnaya Presnya from April 13 to 15. It was a key event arranged by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF and the Federal Agency for Education and aimed at showcasing innovative technologies implemented in education sector, and building relationships between educational service providers and consumers.
Apart from that, ICL-КME CS took part in the 14th Russian Educational Forum 2010, held in Moscow in the Expocentre, Sokolniki from April 20 to 23.
ICL-КME CS showcased its solutions together with Polymedia, its ongoing business partner for education projects since 2007.
The company’s mobile solutions—ICLab mobile interactive classroom based on Pi152 and Si152 laptops, and ICLab Mini, a new ICLab-based modification—were showcased at the exhibitions.
ICLab Mini is designed for elementary school where RAYbook Bi149 netbook is used as a PC by each school student. This is a netbook based on Intel Atom processor with a rotating touchscreen specially created for elementary school students.
The company’s stand was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Vladimir Fridlyanov, Deputy Chairman of Russian State Duma Committee for Education Irina Rodnina, Head of the Federal Agency for Education Nikolai Bulayev, Vice-President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, Rector of Finance Academy under the Government of the RF Mikhail Eskindarov, Intel Teach Program Manager Shelley Shott, other education professionals, experts and specialists.
The implementation options of One-to-One Computing concept that ICL-КME CS commenced to introduce with Intel’s support were also presented at the exhibition. This concept is focused on creating the electronic environment for teaching and learning in educational institutions.
ICL-КME CS made a presentation on information system components for education at the Global Education Exhibition on April 14th.
The interest for the mobile solutions on the part of the visitors to the exhibition shows the applicability of these solutions in educational institutions in Russia (mobile classrooms of ICL-KME CS make are used in more than 30 regions of the Russian Federation today).
