ICL-KME CS offers SafeLogin product which ensures strong two-factor user authentication. SafeLogin is good when you need to restrict unauthorized user access to a workstation.

Using hardware identifiers (tokens) is one of the most convenient ways to control access to information processed on workstations.

Security tokens designed as key fobs are connected to a computer via a USB port.

The reasons for using a token rather than a password to access to a workstation are as follows:

• Need for a physical object (token) required for user authentication;
• Use of a PIN (Personal Identification Number) in addition to a token, which helps ensure that the token is used by the right person;
• Risk mitigation relating to intruder login to a secure network using stolen credentials as it is made physically impossible to derive the subkey from the token (as the subkey does not come out in its original form);
• Failure of an intruder’s attempt to access protected resources without a token;
• No password nor reusable credentials are ever transmitted over the network.

SafeLogin can be used for building corporate information protection environment as an authentication system.
