ICL-KME CS Wins Contracts for Computer Hardware Delivery
ICL-KME CS won three large contracts to deliver computer hardware to secondary schools and state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan. Competitive public bidding to select the best computer supplier was held by the Public Procurement Office of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In accordance with the terms of the first awarded contract ICL-KME CS is to deliver 7,031 computers to Tatarstan schools participating in the program on re-equipment of institutions of secondary education in the Republic of Tatarstan. The tender to award the second contract was held within the framework of the project “Notebook for Every Teacher in Teacher’s Year”. In accordance with its results ICL-KME CS will supply 12,820 laptops to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project “Notebook for Every Teacher in Teacher’s Year” is a part of the education development strategy to be implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2010—2015.
The third contract envisages that ICL-KME CS will supply 3,635 personal computers to satisfy needs of RT ministries and departments. All computer hardware will be manufactured at company’s own manufacturing facilities.
All three awarded contracts have the same delivery term — computers are to be delivered by the end of August 2010.
“We have extensive experience in handling large orders that’s why we are not scared of such short delivery terms,” said Evgeny Stepanov, Deputy General Director of ICL-KME CS. “Considering that we often fulfil orders for both local schools and schools across Russia, in addition to the necessary certificates available for computers produced by ICL-KME CS we have obtained a special certificate to meet schools’ requirements.”
