ICL-KME CS Hosts a Workshop on Storage Management and Virtualization
ICL-KME CS hosted the workshop, Efficient Storage Management. Storage and Server Virtualization Solutions, on March 17th. EMC Corporation acted as a partner.
The representatives of large enterprises from finance, telecommunication, power and fuel and government sectors of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the event.
The reports were made by Vadim Storozhilov, Head of Technical Solutions Department, EMC Russia and the CIS and Dmitry Lepaev, Leading Engineer, System Technologies Centre, ICL-KME CS. They presented the approaches to building a virtual infrastructure and storage solution with VMware — the global leader in virtualization solutions and EMC — the global leader in data storage, protection and optimization.
“Virtualization is a progressive and challenging way of IT infrastructure development for a big enterprise today. It enables to make IT infrastructure development more predictable and flexible, and its management cheaper along with enterprise growth,” said Aidar Guzairov, Director of System Technologies Centre, ICL-KME CS.
According to ICL-KME CS’ expert opinion, IT infrastructure virtualization is able to dramatically improve conditions for doing business and focus on solving business challenges the organization faces. That is why ICL-KME CS offers its customers innovative solutions in infrastructure virtualization — from the data centre to the desktop.
“Great demand for virtualization solutions is primarily caused by their ability to reduce capital and operating expenses and to enhance effectiveness of your IT infrastructure,” commented on the event results Dmitry Lepaev, Leading Engineer, System Technologies Centre. “The virtual infrastructure may be defined as ‘problem free’ compared to the traditional infrastructure where regular equipment replacement is a must to increase its capacity. The virtual infrastructure resources are employed more efficiently while high availability of services and centralized control are provided.”
ICL-KME CS is one of the largest EMC and VMware partners in the Volga (Privolzhsky) Federal District. It holds EMC Velocity Affiliate Partner status and VMware Solution Provider Enterprise Partner status. It should be noted that ICL-KME CS was awarded the title of VMware’s 100% Regional Partner and became the second best for fruitful cooperation and business solution promotion in regions, as it was announced at Third Russian VMware Partner Forum 2010 held in Moscow on March 11th.
All the above mentioned proves ICL-KME CS’ high competency and ability to provide modern virtualization solutions and storage systems. The number of successfully completed projects for Russia’s big business players and positive response from customers count in favour of its reputable image.
